DEAD END-W.and E.BANKS: Garden, barriers but no fences. Stinky, shallow, trash. *only site with both banks of Canal open! 4. SACKETT ST. DEAD END-W.BANK: Dead End Fenced, E.Bank Private, Use of Sackett st. Roof (where?) 5. UNION ST. BRIDGE: Potential use of Bayside Oil Grassy Knoll NW,and rotting factory?, The Box Factory artist studios.
6. PRESIDENT STREET DEAD END: W and E Banks Private property.
7. CARROLL STREET BRIDGE: W and E Sides Private Property. W.Side has Silos, Black Wall for graffiti, large lot; E.Side "Alex Figliolia Contracting" parking lot looks across Canal to Silo lot etc.
8. 1ST STREET DEAD END-W.BANK: E. Bank is clogged former Basin.
9. 2ND STREET DEAD END-W.BANK: E.Bank private property. Garden, Dredgers Canoe launch, features stage-like brick platform.

10. 3RD STREET BRIDGE: South side looks onto 2nd Ave Dead End with busses(see #12)where Gowanus splits, Conrete factories on both sides 11. BOND/4TH STREET DEAD END-W.BANK: E.bank no access. W. Bank has fence. 12. 2ND AVE DEAD END(at 5TH ST, N. of 6TH): Dept. of Trans Bus lot, no fence at canal bank, view of 3RD ST Bridge, "4TH ST BASIN" to the East!! 13. 3RD AVE BRIDGE (btwn 5TH/6TH STS.):Major trash dump and stinkiness contrasts with bucolic stream feel. E. Side of canal arm/basin clogged with trash-the water "disappeared".
14. "4TH STREET BASIN": SOUTH SIDE: Private property; Potential access to Fenceless south canal bank
15. HUNTINGTON STREET DEAD END: Fence, beautiful view of 9TH/SMITH ST Bridge and Concrete factory.Trees.
16. 9TH STREET BRIDGE/9TH and SMITH SUBWAY: Potential canal front access through private property on NE bank and lot under Bridge!!
17. GOWANUS EAST BANK (9TH to 11TH ST BASIN):Fence, Potential use of private/gov canal front access and lot surrounding skeletal building.
18. GOWANUS EAST BANK (11TH ST BASIN to 12 ST END): Fence, potential access to canal front along Pathmark parking lot and side of building.
19. HAMILTON AVE BRIDGE: MERIDIAN: Hole looking onto canal. N.RAIL:View up Canal to 6TH ST. S.RAIL: view of Gowanus bay spilling into NY Harbor.
20. GOWANUS BAY WEST, South of H. Bridge: Potential use of Fenced canal front lots, private property.

22. HAMILTON BRIDGE VICINITY: SMITH/LORRAINE: "Happy Hookers" Fire Station, firemen with cute sense of humor, potential participation with ladders, trucks and all?
23. LOT AT LUQUER AND SMITH (PUBLIC PLACE/FORMER GASWORKS): Gasworks once "spewed sulphurous fumes into the air and may have left hazardous residues in soil. the site is to be cleaned up and may one day live upto its zoning designation as a 'public place'-Brklyn Hist Society.
